New Core 7 G3 Variant Ponies!

The latest variants of the Core 7 G3 My Little Ponies are out in the USA, but I have not seen them here in Singapore yet.

There are 4 ponies found, and they are Cheerilee, Sweetie Belle, Starsong and Rainbow Dash.  Interestingly, Cheerilee has a different head mold from the rest.  The unicorn Sweetie Belle and the pegasus Starsong look gorgeous and they are next on my G3 pony want list!

I have not gotten the regular Starsong pony since she came out in the local stores with Sweetie Belle some months ago.  The ones I saw all had their symbol printed way too low on the hindquarter.  Hence I was waiting for another batch but so far, this pony and the unicorn have not been re-stocked like the rest of the Core 7 earth ponies.  Hopefully, I’ll find a ‘good’ Starsong during the ongoing Great Singapore Sale (lasting 2 months) that is starting this weekend!

Transformers Animated Deluxe Figures in the stores now

Transformers Animated Deluxe Figures Wave 2 Revision 1

I don’t collect these but I saw them in the stores already.  I still find the 80’s Transformers better looking than the all the revised versions.  Nevertheless, I noticed collectors picking pieces of this set from a store today.  Looks like it’s a popular set here.  For me, I prefer the Movie versions to this series.

Public holiday today

It’s a public holiday (Vesak Day) here in Singapore today.

Anyway, my pony collector pal is also arranging another local My Little Pony meet up with other local collectors next weekend, before he flies off to the US to attend the annual My Little Pony Fair on Rhode Island next month.  I wish him a fun and fruitful visit there!

Long weekend

It’s a long weekend here in Singapore because we have a public holiday on Monday (19 May).  Hence I’m seizing the chance to rest and recharge for the long, hard days of work and studies ahead.  It’s also going to be a great time to shop for toys because the annual Great Singapore Sale is coming soon at the end of the month till July.  Hence I’ve got to ‘prepare’ my ‘Play’ funds for a shopping spree this ’summer’!

Latest updates on store visits

Some of the local departmental stores are having a sale now and I visited them to check if they have any new stocks of the toys that I collect.  As usual, I spotted more of the normal colored and stealth colored Movie Transformers Bumblebee figures.  There was also a new wave of Transformers figures in the Movie packaging but I did not recognise those characters in that new wave.

There were also loads of Bburago Lamborghini Reventon die cast model cars in some of the departmental stores.  Both the 1:18 and 1:24 scale versions were widely available but I they didn’t seem to attract much attention.  I guess the other Lamborghini fans and model collectors have not really noticed them yet or they had already bought them.

Or perhaps the fans want the real thing instead.  Yeah if they like me, believe that they can achieve that goal, then they will have a real Lamborghini in their personal garage one day soon.  I hope they will not doubt themselves and press on like me.

In the end, my ‘Play’ funds remained intact.  I’ll save them for other mini luxuries in life.  There is no need to use my ‘Play’  funds when there are no suitable things to buy.  Better to save and accumulate them for the coming Great Singapore Sale that is starting at the end of May and will last till July!

Seemingly never-decreasing toy collections

After downsizing my toys collections for the past 9 months, I find that there seems to be hardly a ‘dent’ in my collections.  The massive populations of toys that I had amassed over the past decade is simply unbelievable!  They have perpetuated every part of my home.  In most places in my house, there is a toy there.

It should take me another couple of  years to further downsize my toys collections to the level that I’m more comfortable with.  Fortunately I have set aside a ‘Play’ account to keep my monthly toys expeditures within budget.  If not, I would have more bought-on-impulse toys in my collection by now.

Life progress update for May 08

I’m so happy today that I finally made a breakthrough in my work and studies this week.  It has been tough over the past months of hard and lonely journey.  It is a path where few would venture and even fewer would find success.

However I have goals to meet and strategies mapped out to take action on.  Hence I will press on even if some people think that I’m wasting my time.

Anyway in celebration of my mini success, I can’t wait to visit the toy stores this weekend to check out what’s new over there.

Lamborghinis in Singapore

I narrowed my keyword search on YouTube to “Lamborghinis in Singapore” and enjoyed the few videos of this awesome supercar taken here in Singapore.  I was most impressed by the video about congregation of 30+ Lamborghinis parked outside a local pub on a particular night.  I have never seen so many Lamborghinis gathered together here.  How I wished I was at the scene that night to view those mighty machines parked together.  It would had been a more spectacular sight to witness them leaving the compound and zooming down the road one after another.  Too bad there wasn’t any video on that moment.

Lamborghini videos at Vid Central

I had some fun watching the YouTube Lamborghini videos at Vid Central today.  Those babies truly rock and they represent one of the ultimate levels of toy collecting.  Someday, one of those real babies will be mine!

Monday blues dispelled

It’s not a great day for me today.  As usual, there are loads of work to be done and half of it were completed by evening time.  Tomorrow will be another day of cramming for me.  Luckily I have my collectible toys around to cheer me up and encourage me to press on, whenever the going gets tough.  Of course the greatest ‘inspiration’ and ‘help’ came from my 4 beloved Lamborghini model cars, for they are my ultimate dream cars!
