RTS Legends action figures - wave 1

Upon seeing the photos of this upcoming wave of Transformers Reveal the Shield (RTS) Legends figures, I feel an immediate attraction for them!  They look so cute and remind me so much of the classic cartoon figures from the 80’s!  I usually do not collect the classic figures but I may make an exception for this series of Legends figures.  Hope to see them in our local departmental stores soon!

This “exclusive Transformers Desert Decimation 4-pack gift set includes the slight repaints of 4 Legends figures from the 2007 Transformers movie toyline - Bonecrusher (Buffalo MPCV) and Brawl (Tank), Autobot Ratchet (Hummer H2) & Ironhide (Topkick)”.

I think they look rather nice for repaints, and the set is scheduled for mass retail release in the last quarter  of the year.  I already have the original figures from the first movie toyline and will give these a miss.  For the completist fans and collectors, this is another set to consider for your collection.  Happy toys collecting!

Transformers HFTD Deluxe action figures - wave 5 - SGD 27.90 each

(Turbo Tracks, Fallback, Mindset & Special Ops Jazz)

Scheduled for end of 2010 release are the above wave 5 of Transformers Hunt for the Decepticons (HFTD) Deluxe figures.  In this wave, we get 2 racing cars - Turbo Tracks & Special Ops Jazz ; plus 2 military vehicles - Fallback & Mindset.  I think they are all repaints again but their new colors look quite all right.  

As our local departmental stores have been steadily receiving earlier waves of HFTD Deluxe figures, I expect this wave to arrive at our local mass retail as well.  Hopefully they are in time for the year end Christmas and post Christmas sales too!  Happy waiting for them!

Marvel Universe Comic Packs action figures - wave 7

Top row: Wolverine & Captain America; Thor & Iron Man
Bottom row: Sentry & Spider-Man; Cyclops & Phoenix

It looks like the Marvel Universe Comic Packs series are still going strong, with another wave 7 on the way to mass retail in Q4 of 2010.  I don’t see any spectacular characters in this wave to specially mention.  All I can say is that Cyclops and Phoenix look to be the hot favourites for collectors here.  If you wish to collect these, keep a look out in local departmental stores and collectors’ toy shops for them!

Learn to let go of your toy collections when the time comes to move on in life - Despite your beloved toys being a major part of your life for the past ’x’ number of years, there might come a time in some people’s lives where they find new interests or have changes in lifestyle that do not accomodate a toy collecting hobby as much as before. 

If you reach such a stage in life, just go naturally with the flow of your new found lifestyle and let go your toy hobby.  Embrace your new life and move on.  You might just find better rewards there.  Your toys had served you well in the past ‘x’ number of years and it’s time for them to serve a purpose in other people’s lives.  So let go most of them while keeping a handful as souvenirs of those particular memorable years of your life.  Happy living!
