Iron Man Legends Series action figures - wave 2

The above wave 2 of 6-inch Iron Man Legends Series action figures would be of interest to more fans and collectors because of the movie versions of Iron Man and War Machine in it.  The Hulkbuster Iron Man on the other hand, looks a little scrawny to fight his supposed nemesis, The Hulk.

These figures retail for SGD 49.90 at the departmental stores here.  The last time I saw them this week, there were plenty of stocks for all the above figures.  I guess the hefty price tag has a lot to do with the abundant supply, other than they are new releases in the stores.

I only took a close look at War Machine and noted that his paint job is not as good as the ones I saw on the 6-inch War Machine figures (now sold out islandwide) from the 2010 Iron Man 2 movie toyline.  You can go to the stores to look at him and the others. 

Even a 20% sale on these figures would still make them expensive.  But come to think of it, if you have been wanting to slow down or get out of your toy collecting hobby and you are too “addicted” to it to give up on your own, the next best thing is for the toys to be priced out of your budget.  That will finally stop your need to collect more toys, or at least slow down your toy collecting to where you only buy what you like the most!

Iron Man Legends Series action figures - wave 1

These are 6 inch Marvel action figures from Hasbro.  I’ve seen some of them appear in some of our local departmental stores lately and they have a astounding price tag of SGD 49.90 each!! 

Anyway, I’ve been very worn down by the sheer overwhelming and confusing variety of Iron Man figures over the past year that I no longer keep close track of them.  I still look for their pictures and post on my blog, but don’t expect me to know the history of every single variant armor of Iron Man that you see here.  I simply cannot keep up anymore.  There are just too many of them, LOL!

For fans and collectors who prefer their favourite Iron Man character toys to be made in bigger versions than the little 3.75-inch figures, you’ve got your wish, but at higher prices too.  Maybe we should all wait for a sale to get the above Legends series Iron Man figures.  I think they will be camping in the stores for some time.  Besides, the 2010 Iron Man 2 movie fad had long been over.  Happy toys collecting!

For this wave, I’m most excited about Cyclops (Jim Lee costume) and Apocalypse, but I doubt I’ll have a chance to get them.  The popular figures of this toy series tend to fly off the local pegs and shelves very quickly upon being released at mass retail.  Oh well, at least I know that they will likely be here from April 2011, better than not coming at all.  Happy toys collecting!
