Bburago Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggeras
There are here at last! The latest 1:24 scale Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggeras by my favourite toymaker, Bburago! There are only 2 colors to choose from - yellow with black door stripes, and bronze with black door stripes.

I’m not a fan of racing stripes, hence I prefer these 2 model cars to not have the door stripes and be in plain solid colors throughout instead. However once you take the cars out of their boxes, the door stripes look kinda good on them.

Despite Bburago being consistent in its standards and qualities, I finally ended with an imperfect 1:24 scale yellow Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera. This is something you can’t tell until you test the car by rolling its wheels on a smooth table or floor.

The yellow Lambo I got has a right front wheel that seems to hinged up too high that it bumps onto the interior of its die-cast metal body covering, making a lot of noise as it jerks along with great difficulty, as if it is braking all the time. I wanted to go back to change for another similar car but as really like the painting on this one, I decided to look into resolving the issue myself.

Hence I used a screwdriver to loosen the screw of the under-carriage plastic panel that attaches to the die-cast metal body covering. I also used my fingers to gradually but gently adjust the ‘faulty’ wheel axle lower so that the right front wheel will not rub against anything under the die-cast metal body covering.

After some repeated loosening and tightening of the under-carriage screw, plus adjustment of the wheel axle, my yellow Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera is ‘cured’! It can now move along my floor or table smoothly like my bronze Superleggera! Note: the photos seen here were taken in a photo tent.

So if you ever *touchwood* encounter this kind of fault in your model cars, there might be a way of rectifying it if you can figure it out. Therefore don’t write off your faulty model cars too soon. If the problem really can’t be fixed, then go and exchange for another new one at the store you bought it from.
That is also provided if the store still has stocks of the same car for sale. I notice that the 1:24 scale die-cast Lamborghini model cars, regardless if they are by Maisto or Bburago, tend to fly off the local shelves quickly, especially the ever popular yellow-colored ones!

Hi!
I saw your blog about Bburago and it looks fantastic. You seem to put a lot of time into your work.
My site, http://www.ToyCollector.com, has just launched our new project ToyPedia (www.ToyCollector.com/ToyPedia), a WikiPedia-style online encyclopaedia of toys. Our entries for Bburago are currently incomplete, and I was wondering whether you would be interested in helping us to fill in the gaps?
Please let me know!
Tobias
Hi Tobias,
Thanks for dropping by and for your invite!
For Bburago, I only collect some 1:24 scale Lamborghini model cars. Hence my knowledge of this brand is rather limited…
