Bburago Lamborghini Reventon

Bburago Lamborghini Reventon 1:24 Scale Die-Cast Model

The Lamborghini Reventon 1:24 Scale Die-Cast Model by Bburago has finally been released in the stores here!  Too bad I missed out on buying it during the sale period held by one of the local departmental stores just 1 week ago.  Anyway, I was so thrilled to see it in person over the weekend that I nearly shrieked on the spot.  There were loads of them at that store and I took a while to pick out the best painted one amongst them all, although they all look just the same to a layperson.  The model car looks remarkably like a futuristic version of Batman’s Batmobile!

The Lamborghini is my dream car and even though I’ve spotted many real ones parked in front of some hotels along Orchard Road on countless occasions, I’ve never physically touched any of them before.  Whenever I see a parked Lamborghini, I would whip out my camera handphone and snap some shots of it.  Seeing a Lamborghini in person is like standing before a super automobile version of a god, such that even the ground beneath the car is sacred.  I wonder when I will have the chance to take a ride in one and eventually have one.

Till the day when I can finally own and maintain a real Lamborghini, I’m content to own the 1:24 Scale Die-Cast Models by the Die-Cast Model Car Maker Bburago for now.  I prefer the model cars by this brand to the other popularly seen brand called Maisto.  Bburago has better overall painting quality and their cars move more smoothly.  However the Bburago Lamborgini Murcielago models that I own, all left out the black painted door finishings that are present on the real cars.  Nevertheless, I’m very satisfied with the 4 Bburago 1:24 scale Lamborgini models that I currently own (1 grey & 1 yellow Murcielagos, 1 yellow Gallardo, & 1 iron grey Reventon).

Hi Juliana WOW!! a female toy collector :) very rare in my circle. I actually didn’t know the car was available so much earlier, based on your post dated May 6, 2008. Hope you enjoyed the car as much as I did and when you finally get your own, don’t forget to invite me for a ride ;p ha! ha! That’s the beauty of the reventon, looks like a tank but doesn’t move like one - for that, you’ve got the Tumbler!!

Great to see a fellow toy collector here! I have the 1/18 Reventon made by MR Collection. It’s made of resin instead of diecast, and does not opening parts, but it is one of the most beautiful models among my 300 plus strong collection. The Bburago is not bad too considering its price, I have the 1/18 version of it. But when I placed the two side by side, the MR one is way way ahead of the Bburago in terms of proportions, details and color. Perhaps you can take a peek at it one of these days…haha!

Hi Ben, nice to know you too! And thanks for introducing this MR Collection brand. Will check it out. For me, price and car size is of prime concern as I prefer to stretch my dollars and maximize limited storage space. Already 3 of my 6 Lamborghinis, plus 1 Audi R8 have been recently ‘evicted’ from their temp ‘garage’ in my room. I need to allocate a new home for them, but I’m already eyeing the new 1:24 scale Bburago Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera:

Do you think that Maisto’s quality is better than Bburago. I have a few cars and when I did a comparison, the Bburago seems to be “finish in a hurry” type of quality. Not very impressive though.

    Hi howe,

Each brand has its pros and cons :)

Overall I find Bburago better, especially in the smoothness of the wheels movement on a flat surface. However I only have the 1:24 scale cars. The 1:18 scale cars might differ in their comparism.

My buying is also influenced and restricted by which Lamborghini models and colors are available by each brand. Hence, sometimes it’s not much of a choice. I end up with whichever brand because of how badly I want that car model which the other brand doesn’t have :P

    Hi Ms. Heng,

Nice collection, I am also a toy collector, diecast cars to be specific. I also have this Reventon by Bburago on the same scale (http://mervin-diecast.blogspot.com/2009/09/lamborghini-reventon_02.html)….

    Enjoy collecting….

    Hi Mervin,

The Reventon is simply awesome! I’ve yet to see a real one in person, considering that there are only 20 of them in the world..

And Wow, I love that Jada Toy Bumblebee Camaro you have! How much does it cost? Did you get in at a store or online? I think HA Sam and Mikaela can ride in it. They can both ride in my other 1:24 scale model cars :)

    Hi Radu,

Thank you for visiting my blog! :)

The prices of the Bburago and Maisto die-cast cars at my local dept stores have been raised in the past year. Hence I’ve stopped collecting them. Besides, there aren’t any new Lamborghinis in the 1:24 scale made by these brands for me to buy…
