Steelshot with Beacon (Tank), Darkstream with Razorbeam (Jet) & Windburn with Darkray (Helicopter)

The Scout figures never fail to amaze me with their great variety of vehicle and robot modes, despite their transformation complexities in relation to their small sizes .  Hence they have their legion of fans too, though I’m not one of them.  This Transformers series seems more geared towards the hardcore and completist collectors.  The figures have not been seen in our local dept stores yet, but they should be in anytime soon.  Happy waiting for them!

(Tuner Skids, Battle Blade Bumblebee, Rescue Ratchet, Axor & Ironhide )

This next wave 4 of Deluxe class Transformers Hunt for the Decepticons (HFTD) figures are either repeated figures or repaints.  If you had missed out on some characters that were released in earlier waves, you can have your chances to get them here, such as Battle Blade Bumblebee and Ironhide.  Perhaps you can even get them at 20% discount or better in certain departmental stores, if these stocks arrive at the right timings!  Happy HFTD toys collecting!

(Ironhide, Terradive, Tomahawk Electrostatic Jolt)

The Deluxe class of Hasbro’s Transformers Hunt for the Decepticons (HFTD) toyline continues with wave 3 and some new and non-movie characters like Terradive and Tomahawk.  After a while, the toyline has way too many figures to keep track of, and this is only the Deluxe class.  There are still the Leader, Voyager, Scout, Power Core Combiners and Legends classes in the HFTD toyline, just to name some of them, LOL!

Are you still collecting the HFTD figures?  Well you’ve got a long to to go if you’re collecting nearly every figure in all the various class series and waves.  If you have a budget to adhere to like most collectors, I suggest skipping many of the repaints like Electrostatic Jolt and selectively collect the characters and figures that you like.  Happy HFTD toys collecting!

HFTD Deluxe Desert Combat Ravage toy review

All I can say about this toy is that if it’s really an upcoming official release from Hasbro’s Transformers Hunt for the Decepticons (HFTD) toyline, I want to get it!

This HFTD Deluxe Desert Combat Ravage figure looks very much like the HFTD Legends Ravage figure that was released earlier this year.  Both figures would looks so cool together!

I think the copper and iron colors of HFTD Deluxe Desert Combat Ravage look most movie accurate of all the movie Deluxe Ravage figures that have been released so far.  I can’t wait for him to hit our local stores!

*Runs off to set a side a budget for this toy*

From top: Battle Blades Optimus Prime, The Fallen & Highbrow

The following are the video reviews of this wave of Voyager class figures.  The Fallen has a new mask, new staff and new cool colors!  Is Highbrow a new mold or another repaint?  He looks like a complex fighter plane from World War I or II. Battle Blades Optimus Prime remains my favourite of this lot.  I’ll get him for my collection some day,  In the meantime, I’m content with watching him on video.  Happy viewing!

From top: Night Ratchet, Banzai-Tron & Battle Blades Optimus Prime

These are the Voyager class figures for wave 2 of the Transformers Hunt for the Decepticons (HFTD)  series. I’ve seen this wave in all in our local departmental stores over the past few weeks and sales have been slow for this Transformers movie spin-off toyline.

Night Ratchet and Banzai-Tron are repaints for this wave while Battle Blades Optimus Prime is in a new Voyager class mold where he features a pair of battle blades on his arms.  Battle Blades Optimus Prime is the attraction here and I’ll like to get one too as an upgrade from my 2007 Movie Voyager Optimus Prime figure.  The new Voyager Prime will be much easier for me to transform than his movie Leader class versions!

It looks like the HFTD toyline is still churning more waves in their various classes of figures.  For the hardcore fans and collectors, the rest of 2010 will be looked forward to.  Perhaps some timely clearance sales of choice Transformers toylines could be in store for us as well.  Happy HFTD toys collecting!

Top row (from left): Oilpan, Insecticon & Crankstart

Bottom row (HFTD): Brimstone, Hubcab & Breacher

Here we have yet more photos of the upcoming Transformers Hunt for the Decepticons (HFTD) toyline for the rest of 2010.  Insecticon and Breacher look ‘new’ here while the rest are repaints of Scout figures from the earlier HFTD, or the 2009 Revenge of the Fallen (ROTF) Scout series.

I like Breacher’s vehicle mode and he’ll look nice in green color.  An army of them would look pretty cool too.  Oh no, it looks like I’ve been influenced by the obsessive ‘army building’ trend that’s taking a number of local toy collectors by storm this year.  *Shakes off that poisonous thought from my head*, LOL!

Like the rest of the new HFTD series that I blogged about recently, we expect to see the above HFTD Scout toys in Singapore departmental stores sometime in Q3 of this year.  If you collect these figures, happy waiting for them!

Bottom row (from left): Cyberfire Bumblebee, Sandstorm & Long Haul

Here we have the photos of the wave 3 Transformers Hunt for the Decepticons (HFTD) Legends figures, where we have some more re-releases and repaints like Duststorm and Tuner Skids.  If you should miss out on getting certain earlier Legends figures, some of them will be repeated here.

We expect this wave 3 of HFTD Legends figures to be released at mass retail sometime in the 3rd quarter 2010 as well.  Hence we should be in for a rather exciting HFTD and WFC toys releases period in the coming 2 months.  Happy toys collecting!

Top row (from left): Override & Tracker Hound

Bottom row (from left): Long Haul & Sandstorm

For this wave of Transformers Hunt for the Decepticons (HFTD) Legends figures, I’m most keen on adding Long Haul to my collection.  Although I do have an earlier Revenge of the Fallen (ROTF) Legends version of this green colored figure, that other piece can specially combine with other ROTF Legends Constructicons to form ROTF Legends Devastator.

The above Long Haul has a new mold and is presumed to be one of the many loose Constructicons seen chasing and attacking the humans during the final desert battle scene in the 2009 ROTF movie.  The blue car is a repaint of Sideways, while I don’t know the other non-movie characters.  I think they are repaints as well.

This next wave of HFTD Legends figures are expected to be available at mass retail by the 3rd quarter 2010.  Happy HFTD toys collecting!

Bottom row (from left): Megatron, Optimus Prime Dirge.

For me, I’m not as excited over this WFC toyline since I’m more of a Transformers Movie fan.  Nevertheless I do take note of the various new and upcoming Transformers toys for the rest of 2010.  I expect to see the new waves of WFC to hit our local stores in the coming months before Christmas.  Happy waiting for them!
