Collector Art Ponies 2009
Remember the special edition Blue Art My Little Pony from last year? We thought that Hasbro released it in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of My Little Pony. Well, the Collector Art Ponies are back this year and they look set to be a yearly release!
Here’s a photo provided by sacred_tinker on MLP Arena from one of her online searches. At first glance, these look like someone’s custom ponies and their eyes are not painted, like those of last year’s Blue Art Pony. I prefer the blue pony with the underwater and fish designs. The orange one is quite pretty too, though her elemental designs look rather abstract to me.
As I’m already tired of the core 7 My Little Pony characters that Hasbro had chosen to focus on for the past 2 years, I’m game for new pony characters, especially the special edition ones like these. These 2 Collector Art Ponies are now available for pre-order on Entertainment Earth, though they don’t have their photos posted there yet. Pony stocks are estimated to arrive and ship in May 2009. Now that’s a long wait.
