Many ‘ponies’ to train - part 1
In life, people always say: take one step at a time in whatever we do. There are so many things I really want to learn and apply in my lifetime. Maybe due to the law of attraction or something else, all these things just swarm to me at around the same time. Some people call them opportunities knocking at our doors and that we should grab them. I feel a bit overwhelmed and yet I am reluctant to let the chances slip by. My resources have definitely been very stretched during this period and there is only so much that my brain can absorb at any one time. Then this skill called “Accelerated Learning” that I also picked up along the way, comes into useful application.
“Accelerated Learning” teaches us the skills to absorb and recall new knowledge and information efficiently in a shorter period of time. For example, we can use pictures or make up ’stories’ to associate with the things that we are learning so as to recall them easily. Of course nothing beats practice, practice and more practice. After all, practice makes perfect and the rest will become second nature to us. Taking actions to apply our new found knowledge frequently and regularly, is usually the hardest thing to do for most people. That is why very few people actually become the best in the new skills that they had learned.
