Memories of LEGO Alpha Team and Agents toys sets

I cannot recall much about the LEGO Alpha Team as I was more into collecting the LEGO Knights series back then, so I kind of ignored nearly all the other LEGO series advertised in the yearly LEGO catalogs.  Then came the LEGO Agents series (view from 2.51min of video onwards) a few years ago and I recall seeing their commercials airing in a loop on a tv at a local departmental store.  The commercial was rather loud and it had lots of action sounds and scenes featuring the LEGO Agents ”in action”. 

For some reason, I like LEGO Agents a lot even though I did not collect them when both series 1 and 2 were out on the mass retail shelves.  Then as the last of the 2nd series LEGO Agents 2.0 box sets started to clear off the shelves of departmental stores at the beginning of this year, I started to miss them.  I’m not sure if the LEGO Agents series were popular with LEGO collectors but there are lots of video reviews about them made and posted by kids on YouTube.  So I guess they are more popular with younger fans. 

Locally, I know some LEGO collectors have the LEGO Agents Mobile Command Centre as it not only looks cool, but also comes with the entire LEGO Agents team and the main villains.  I like the new grey armour worn by most of the male LEGO Agents in series 2.  Somehow these LEGO Agents remind me of modern day LEGO Knights fighting supervillains, using not only fighting skills and wit, but also super technology! 

Here’s to the fond recent memories that the LEGO Agents gave me, even though their shelf life is nearly over!

      Hi Juliana and all lego fans, Lego come out with special minifigs this month each selling only $3.90. If you got member card will have 10% off. Figs include zombie, ninja, cheerleader and more… etc.

      Hi Hippo,

      If I buy, it’s mainly for the spare parts like the nice blonde hair of the cheerleader for example :)

      I have Forestmen and Native American minifigs in my collection already..
