My recent pony conquests
So what have I been up to in toy collecting lately? Well these are my pony conquests so far in 2009. In January alone, I managed to shorten my pony want list by acquiring and receiving the following exclusive My Little Pony figures:

This is the San Diego Comic Con 2007 Exclusive Pony. Like most exclusive G3 My Little Pony, she doesn’t have an official name. Because of her super heroine image, she’s affectionately known as “Super Pony” on the pony forums.

Her symbol is a heart-shaped ’bubble’ containing the words “My Little Pony Power”. She also has the word “Zoom” down her right hind leg and the word “Kapow” down her left hind leg. I prefer to call her “Zoom the Super Pony”!
As I’m looking to replace this piece that I have due to some slight painting defects, I won’t remove Zoom from her packaging for now. The above close-up photo is taken from ebay. My own close up shots aren’t as clear as this ebay photo.

Next we have the My Little Pony Fair 2007 Exclusive Pinkie Pie Pony. She is simply known as “Fair 2007 Pinkie Pie” on the pony forums. Of the countless “Pinkie Pie” pony variants Hasbro released, this has to be prettiest of the lot.

In fact her dreamy-like leafy symbols, plus the intricate pink and silver swirl designs make her seem like a completely different pony character from the regular Pinkie Pies. She also has some tiny pink hearts designs on her white forehead. Her body shade of pink is lovely. The only thing I dislike are the troublesome silver tinsels in her hair.

She still has the regular “Pinkie Pie’s” balloon symbols on her right hindquarters but these balloon designs blend in well with her ‘dream and fantasy’ theme. When she was released in 2007, there was a naming exercise for her on the pony forums. I don’t think everyone settled on a name for her, if not that name will be used for her today. I do recall that one of the suggested names was ”Fantasia”, and this is what I call mine!

Last but not least is the UK Ponycon 2008 Exclusive Pony. As she doesn’t have an official name too, she was nicknamed by the UK Ponycon sales committee as “Bumblebee Pony”. Some members on the pony forums call her “Sunny Grace”. A local pony collector pal thinks that this name reminds him of ”Amazing Grace”. Another local pony collector friend tells me that the yellow eyes make the pony look “evil”, hehe…

For me, I think that “Bumblebee” is already a name reserved for that famous Transformers character and besides, “Bumblebee” sounds a little too ‘aggressive’ for a pony’s name. Hence I call mine “Honey Bee”. She is in fact a color variation of the USA My Little Pony Fair 2008 Exclusive Pinkie Pie Pony. The fine and intricate designs all over the bodies of these 2 ponies are almost the same, except that the pink version has extra the words “Providence” and “MLP Fair” on her right hindquarters. Hence I call my pink pony “Providence”.
I can’t wait for my next acquired exclusive My Little Pony to arrive and she is TAF Project Pony (2005) MIB!
