New Wave of Core 7 My Little Pony Set
I thought that the Core 7 My Little Pony sets would end its run this year with the Core 7 Ponies set containing inspirational words on their bodies. Who would know that Hasbro sprung a ’surprise’ on us by introducing yet another latest wave of Core 7 Ponies set before the year ends.
The repetitive look of the all-too-similar Core 7 Ponies sets are boring most collectors, and kids too. Parents aren’t likely to buy repeated character toys for their kids, plus the kids these days are smart too. They also want to own different character toys.
Most of us collectors on the pony forums couldn’t really tell if the extra pattern designs are printed on the ponies or not. We presume that they are, so that makes this set extremely similar to the set with eyeshadow and extended symbols designs.
So in a way, there wasn’t much innovation. Its just re-packaging ‘old and existing’ stuff to make them look ‘different’ so as to entice us to buy the same characters all over again! What a bore!
