My Little Pony: Large Ponyville - Super Long Hair Rainbow Dash.

Besides spotting the first wave of ROTF Transformers toys in our local departmental stores yesterday, I also came across new My Little Pony toys there as well!  We finally have the “Large Ponyville figures” on our shores!  First I saw Super Long Hair Rainbow Dash (above) and she retails at SGD 19.90.

Then I turned a corner to the other side of the same shelf and found all the Core 7 My Little Pony characters as single pack Large Ponyville figures!  They are priced at SGD 10.90 each, with Sweetie Belle the white unicorn being a bit smaller than the rest because she is supposedly the youngest pony in the lot.  She comes with a larger brush to make up for the lesser plastic volume in the pony..

My Little Pony: Large Ponyville - Starsong.

This one’s my favourite of the lot.  I like Starsong’s colors and being a pegasus pony, she has wings on her back.  Hence you get a little more value for your money because of the extra plastic wings!  I also like the simple packaging for this series of “G4 My Little Pony” toys because it’s only slightly bigger than the pony itself.  I appreciate the ‘honesty’ as it does not attempt to make the toy seem bigger than it really is.  Plus there is lesser wastage of resources on excess packaging, which will eventually be discarded by consumers.

      OKTO is airing ‘My Little Pony’ on weekdays around 5 plus and my daughter aged 4 will watch it without fail. Surprise to see this cartoon in the 80s still appeal to kids this era. Ha! Ha!

      Hi Katsuden,

      Yup! The 80’s MLP cartoon may not the best cartoon around but it’s still way better than the recent G3 MLP cartoon that flopped, mainly due to poor content :)

      And I hope Okto will continue to show more re-runs of other popular and nostalgic 80’s cartoons! :D

      You mean the core 7 ponies? I’m tired of them too. That’s why I shifted my attention to Transformers movie toys lately :P

      Ohhh nooo, im still into them, juz that the 2009 ponies look a lil retarded!! Kinda look like a doggie than a pony now… :(
      hahaha, dont think im tired of them…for the moment :P

      Well you can always switch to collecting the earlier ponies that you haven’t got yet :P

      hahaha yea, i did bought some from the toy outpost..
      Tho i rather not catalog them etc… the fun would be gone then once i start listing…
