ROTF Deluxe Dead End toy review

In the latest wave of Deluxe Transformers Revenge of the Fallen (ROTF) movie toys found at our local departmental stores now, ROTF Deluxe Dead End is observed to be 1 of the peg warmers, together with Blaze Master.  Please note and do not confuse ROTF Deluxe Dead End with ROTF Scout Dead End, a little red Decepticon race car.  ROTF Deluxe Dead End is a repaint of ROTF Deluxe Sideways, who is in dark grey color with bright red robot body parts. 

Upon seeing ROTF Deluxe Dead End in person 2 weeks ago, I find him better looking than ROTF Deluxe Sideways.  I’m surprised that fans and collectors are not giving him much attention.  Just because Dead End wasn’t in the movie makes him a pass for many people.  I’m thinking of getting him after seeing his toy review above.  What do you think?  Is ROTF Deluxe Dead End worth adding to your collection?  Do you have him already or plan to get him?  Feel free to share your comments here!

      I wouldn’t get Dead End myself, personally. Not because he’s not in the movie, but primarily because of his head design. Which looks like a cross between Animated Grimlock and an Insecticon.

      He’s otherwise a better looking robot than his original I think, and the car mode is not bad.

      Hi updatedude,

      I also don’t quite like his head while his car mold and black colors are better than Sideways’.

      Unfortunately his feet are still too tiny for his built :(

      Well, some people are detracted to get repaints especially if they already own the original mold, example almost everyone has sideways.

      And some are detracted to Dead End’s “Cartoonish” Head

      for me… He is one of the best, the mold was made really good thanks to the cool color scheme, and I like the head sculpt.

      Anyone here who had the original G1 Stunticons noticed ROTF Dead End is wearing his G1 counterpart’s Alt mode Car hood as his hat! And the colors in alt mode seem to resemble Wildrider..

      I like him better than Sideways!
