ROTF toys at Singapore KFC!

The Transformers movie sequel - Revenge of the Fallen (ROTF) toys have finaly arrived at our local Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) outlets!  They started the promotion this week and there are 4 designs to collect (1 design per week) - Ironhide, Starscream, Bumblebee and Optimus Prime!

ROTF Ironhide toy from Singapore KFC.

Since reading about these ROTF toys being offered by Malaysia’s KFC from another toy blog, I’ve been checking both our local KFC and Burger King (BK) outlets to see which of them will have the ROTF toys.  It turns out that KFC is the ‘winner’!  In the UK, the BK outlets have their own separate series of BK ROTF toys, which are quite similar to the random style BK Transformers movie toys offered here 2 years ago.

I have not opened my Ironhide toy from its package yet.  All I can say is that this set of KFC ROTF toys can transform between robot and vehicle modes!  Of course the transformation process is ultra simple and the robot designs are not as detailed as the Hasbro toys.  But overall, the vehicle modes are very nice for fast food toys and will make great display pieces.

So hurry down to your nearest KFC outlet and treat yourself to a hearty KFC Chicky Meal (at SGD 4.60 per meal) today!  Haha, I sound like I’m promoting for them, but then I know most of you are not really there for the chicken, LOL!!

haha… once read your blog, I immediately rush to KFC & grab all 4 types of minibots. These OP, BB, IR & SS are my nephew’s Bday present. I’m buying him a deluxe canon BB too, but these minibots suits him most. Cause he is just 5 years old. Though the deluxe class says suits for age5 but in fact it’s still way too complicated as kids toys.
I hope the D-class Canon BB could survive the tortures & stay with my nephew as long as he could.
    You get all already?

    Hi Reagan,

Wow, the KFC at your place has all 4 toys at once? The ones here only have the 1st toy so far. These simpler ROTF toys are indeed more suited to younger kids.

I feel that Transformers movie Deluxe, Voyager & Leader toys are suited for kids aged 10 and above. They must know when not to force on the transformation process if the parts get blocked by other parts. Gotta analyze what went wrong and figure/find another way round it.

Most importantly, you need patience with the toy when transforming it for the 1st time, so that the toy can last longer! :P

    Hi Reagan,

I’ve got Cannon BB, Interrogator Barricade and Ravage :D

If getting Cannon BB for your nephew, you better show him how to transform it first before he does it. For mine, the windscreen section gets a bit stuck between the 2 doors (which do not extend outwards for this version) and you need a little adjustment to move the lower body downwards to form robot mode.

Separating the roof from the windscreen during car mode needs gentle hands too. Good luck to you and your nephew on Cannon BB :)

Hi Reagen, which KFC outlet you went to that offered all 4 toys at once? Many outlets offer 1 toy each week. Thanks.
