ROTF toys updates in Singapore

Some latest waves of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen (ROTF) movie toys are widely available in most local departmental stores now.  Over the past 2 weeks, I have spotted wave 9 and wave 10 of the ROTF Deluxe toys here.  If you are lucky, you can even get them at discounted prices during the storewide sales at different departmental stores!

Deluxe Class - wave 9 (SGD 27.90 each)

Top Row (from left): Brawn & NEST Bumblebee.

Middle Row: Strike Mission Sideswipe.

Bottom Row (from left): Ratchet & Lockdown.

The new molds and characters are Brawn, Ratchet and Lockdown.   They were first spotted locally early last month.  Since then, they had been selling rather well and were sometimes sold out at some stores.   They have been re-stocked this month and are quite easy to find, for now. 

Deluxe Class - wave 10 (SGD 27.90 each)

Top Row (from left): Strike Mission Sideswipe, NEST Bumblebee, Tuner Mudflap & Rampage (red version).

Bottom Row (from left): Dirge, Armorhide & Evac.

There are no new molds in wave 10, mostly repaints.  I have seen the Hasbro “Red” Rampage in person at the departmental store.  His colors are actually more of vermilion than red color.  I think the Takara Tomy version of him is considered red in color.  You be the judge of that. 

ROTF Leader Shadow Command Megatron action figure (SGD 109.90 each)

This big guy is now available at mass retail since this month.  He is a repaint of ROTF Leader Megatron (grey color) from the 2009 ROTF movie toyline.  Overall his new darker colors are quite nice and would have looked good if they were used in the 2009 ROTF movie, instead of the duller silver grey colors that looked so similar to his 2007 movie colors.

As the ROTF movie and toys fad have died down, it is best to get them at sales instead of their rather hefty original retail prices.  So be patient and grab them all at the sales!  Happy ROTF toys collecting!
