ROTF Voyager action figures - wave 2 & wave 2 rev 1-3

The following highly anticipated next wave of Transformers movie sequel - Revenge of the Fallen (ROTF) toys have been spotted at our local retailers this weekend!  Note: Stratosphere may take a while more to reach some stores.

Voyager Class (SGD 51.90 each):

ROTF Voyager Megatron action figure.

Wave 2: Megatron.

Like the ROTF Leader Megatron action figure, Voyager Megatron also has an oversized right arm and an undersized left arm.  He’s a dull shade of greenish grey and his tank mode doesn’t look as spectacular as the Leader version.  Somehow when you see him in his box, he sort of resembles a horseshoe crab!  But then Megatron fans may still want him in their collections.  He also makes a cheaper alternative for parents with kids wanting Megatron but find the Leader version way out of their budget.

ROTF Voyager Mixmaster action figure.

Wave 2: Mixmaster.

Mixmaster is probably gonna be the collectors’ hot favourite in this ROTF Voyager wave.  I kind of get this idea when reading the various ROTF toy forums recently.  I’ve seen this toy in person and I must say that Mixmaster does look very attractive in his slivery metallic paint.  The only question I have about this toy is about that enormous Decepticon symbol displayed prominently on the cement mixer itself.  Aren’t Transformers supposed to be “robots in disguise”?  *Scratches head*

ROTF Voyager Stratosphere action figure.

Wave 2 Rev 1-3: Stratosphere.

Okay I admit that I know nothing about this character.  I’m not even sure if he’s gonna be in the upcoming ROTF movie.  I think he probably makes a cameo appearance.  One thing for sure is that this toy is seriously way undersized.  It’s gonna be hard to focus the camera on him and the humans in the same screen!  Stratosphere comes with an exclusive mini Optimus Prime which he can transport within him.  His robot mode looks quite scrawny.  The in-scale Stratosphere toy in Plane mode is probably gonna be the size of a real desk surface!

 ——–

I gather that Mixmaster will number fewer than the other Voyager toys in wave 2 and its revision waves.  Hence he’s likely to sell out faster too.  He also looks the best in vehicle mode and Mint-In-Box (MIB) among the 3 of them.  Hence I predict that he will take the lead in this wave of ROTF Voyager toys popularity race.  For those who missed out on getting The Fallen in the earlier ROTF Voyager toys wave, he will return in this wave 2 and its revision waves.  Hence you’ll have your chance to get him.

And therefore the cement mixer looks to be a likely close contender with the black alien for the popularity lead.  The Autobots aren’t looking to come close in challenging the Decepticons for the most popular ROTF Voyager toy title.  But these are just my guesses.  We shall let time reveal the true results in the coming weeks.  Meanwhile, happy ROTF toy hunting!

    Hi LEon,

Yup, he looks so good that you can eat him on his own :P Can keep him in your radar :)

Rumors says that the devastator may not be formed by using currently released D-class rampage, V-class demolisher, now V-class mixmaster & next wave V-class long haul etc. They says devastator is form from another class of bots. But, so far no body confirming that… did you know something bout it?
anyway, not going to collect devastator. I’m collecting my favorites only.

I missed v-class fallen during the launch. Should have grab that at 1st sight. With the decepticon’s symbol & the egyptian art as his face, it’s a great design. Now feel so sad d. regret regret regret… have to wait for re-stock now T___T

    Hi Reagan,

Yup, I read about the ROTF Devastator toy online. The Constructicons that are sold individually and can transform between robot and vehicle modes, are said to be unable to combine. However some TF fans have explored the possibilities using Demolisher, Mixmaster & Rampage. But these are speculations only.

A very large box set containing 6 non-transforming Constructicon vehicles can combine to form Supreme class Devastator. A much smaller Legends class version is also available, and much cheaper too:

    Hi Reagan,

Take heart, V-class Fallen will get re-stocked in later waves and you’ll have your chance to get him. :)

Mixmaster is the leader of the Devastator members and it looks super cool. It is also in my preorder list with TFH. Yes, transformers should always disguise themselves among mankind but these are toys. So, why so serious, right?? Haha!!

    Hi deSMOnd,

Yes, I’m quite obsessed with the ROTF movie & its toys now. It’s bad for mental health I know :P

    Hi Juliana!

I like your blog, and I find it unique for girl TF Collector like you!

I Collect TF’s too, but my favorite is Megatron, especially his ROTF toys!

The voyager, though looking like a horseshoe crab in tank mode, he seems to be more playable than the Leader Class, and less expensive too!

Mixmaster is… well, Mixmaster, some people said his 3rd mode is half-a$$ed, but after seeing the movie, the third mode is actually for real!

And so is Voyager Megs(shortcut for megatron) Tank mode! That is what he used in the movie when he flies! Flying tank!

    Hi Nicolai “Megatron” Armado,

Thanks for visiting my blog! :)

I saw your TF Movie 1 Deluxe Brawl toy in your Friendster photos! I wanted to pick up that toy at the Toy Carnival on Sunday, but didn’t have enough cash with me. He’s cute, isn’t he? :)

Many TF fans have experimented in transforming ROTF Voyager Megs into a jet mode and the resulting shapes look quite convincing! He also turns out to be more popular than Mixmaster, not like what I predicted earlier :P

  10. Nicolai "Megatron" Armado on July 8th, 2009

Yeah, you can still get Deluxe Brawl, there is a Deep Desert repaint right? the colors Is kinda o off but, I like it, I also have one, what I regret about TF Movie 1 is I never had a chance to own Leader Brawl.

I made my Megs a jet, looks like TF Universe Cyclonus Jet mode!

  11. Juliana Heng on July 8th, 2009

    Hi Nicolai,

TF Movie 1 Leader Brawl was seen at a local toy store just last month. Not sure if it’s still there now :)

Congrates on your ‘flying’ Megs! :D

  12. Juliana Heng on July 8th, 2009

Come to think of it, is TF Movie 1 Leader Brawl green or brown, or came in both colors? I saw a brown Leader one at a local toy store just last week. It’s been there for ages, since before the ROTF toys :P

  13. Nicolai "Megatron" Armado on July 8th, 2009

TF Movie 1 Brawl is green camouflage tank, whereas Deep Desert Brawl(Repaint of TF MOvie 1 Brawl for ROTF) is on a desert camouflage color scheme. If yu see them both, it’s your personal preference whichever you want to. I think he has wavemates Smokescreen, Skids, and Chromia.

I get my toys faster coz I’m in America hehehe.

Actually I haven’t got Stratosphere yet, but Looking at how he was packed, he looks like a big Bot!

  14. Juliana Heng on July 8th, 2009

    Hi Nicolai,

Thanks for the Brawl info! :D

Looks like you’ll be collecting the entire ROTF toyline, esp those that appeared in the ROTF movie :P

  15. Nicolai "Megatron" Armado on July 9th, 2009

Not really… I’m actually more of a Decepticon collector… Especially Megatron toys!

Here is my current list of ROTF Megatrons, by rank!

    1.Leader Class
    2.Voyager Class
    3. Power Bot(Unbelievable! The Adult male bought a kiddy power bot! well, the sounds are fun!)
    4. Robot replicas, the most screen accurate Megs in robot mode!
    5.Legends Class
    6. Keychain (nice!)

ANd I will buy the FAB, Robot Heroes, and Other repaints and toys for ROTF Megatron!

  16. Juliana Heng on July 9th, 2009

    Hi Nicolai,

A local TF toy collector I know here is also more of Decepticon fan. He too thinks that Megs rock :P

  17. Nicolai "Megatron" Armado on July 9th, 2009

Megs is much cooler in ROTF than TF movie 1 coz in the film he had lots of screen time, and the classic Megatron x Starscream relationship is well played in the ROTF film! Heck, I was laughing when Megs stomped SS on top of the building then grinded him with his tank tread feet!

And I like his ROTF toy coz tank is much fitting for Megatron than jet, coz the next best thing to a Gun Megs(G1) is a tank mode! and My favorite tank megatrons are ROTF, Generation 2/Universe, War Within, and Armada!

  18. Juliana Heng on July 9th, 2009

    Hi Nicolai,

Megs treated Starry like how an ancient tyrant king would treat his lowly eunuch servants, like dirt :P

Both tank and jet modes are find for Megs. He shouldn’t be restricted to just 1 alt mode like the other TFs..

ya also missed out on voyager megatron.:(

  21. Juliana Heng on June 11th, 2010

    Hi fadhil,

Gosh, Megatron’s another one that’s missing from the stores now. I think these are earlier waves. The current stocks are mostly later waves. Perhaps he’ll appear in the stores again, at most as a repaint.
