ROTF Voyager The Fallen toy review
“Do you notice that The Fallen is the only 1 of the 6 ROTF Voyager Class series to be packaged in his robot mode? The rest are in their vehicle modes. The Fallen looks quite cool in both his spacecraft and robot modes. Somehow he reminds me of the Aliens from the movie “Aliens”. I actually dreamt of myself being chased by The Fallen some time ago. It felt so real, as if I was inside the ROTF movie! Come to think of it, it was quite a frightful nightmare!”
In just 2 weeks after the official launch of the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen (ROTF) toys (on 30 May 2009) at major retailers here, Voyager The Fallen is the most rarely seen ROTF toy around in most stores. This character is going to be the major villain in the upcoming ROTF movie, with the movie sequel named after him.
Amongst all the Transformers movie characters we’ve seen photos of so far, The Fallen looks to be the most ‘primitive’ or rather most ‘cybertronian’ in appearance, both in spacecraft and robots modes. Somehow when you look at his design on its own, you can’t really tell that he’s supposed to be from the Transformers movie if no one told you so. He looks like an independant alien character that he could even have his own movie!
Anyway, The Fallen seem very popular among kids and collectors here in SIngapore, even before the ROTF movie is screened in the cinemas. So what’s the deal about this toy that makes him so sought after, other than being a star in the ROTF movie? Well, lets view the above toy review video to find out more! To me, The Fallen does indeed look kinda cool and quite special. It’s mainly the price (SGD 51.90) that deters me! How about you? Will you be collecting The Fallen toy?

How much is the TakaraTomy version? I wonder if there are obvious color differences from the Hasbro version, like in Deluxe Breakaway?
It is around S$55. I think can get more cheaper at U-toys, CSC. Because I went there yesterday. There are definitely colour differences between Hasbro and Takara. But don’t know if the fallen figures’ colour are obvious or not

I don’t even know what are the actual colors of The Fallen until we’ve seen the movie
There will likely be repaints of him in future waves of ROTF toys 
His red repaint is a Target Exclusive, but I have the regular one…
Toy looks good, but sorely lacking, But at least if you are good at making accessories, make Fallen’s staff right hehehe!!!
If he just had head articulation, I would like it even more but…
among my Voyager Decepticons, Fallen is my least favorite.

ROTF Voyager Fallen is HTF here in Singapore. He’s both short packed & very popular, plus some scalping or hoarding. Anyway, the re-stocks have started to appear in the stores
Oh… scalping is really rampant huh…
But once the restocks arrive, people are gonna buy more at the retailers, making them less likely to buy from scalpers…
Oh, Fallen is really a Scalper target there huh….
So does here too.
But once restocks arrive, Scalpers will feel the burn as people will less likely buy from them coz of restocks at the favorite retailers…
This is one of my experiences of buying a toy almost from a scalper…
During TF movie 1’s toyline, I was still at Philippines back then, I wanted to buy Premium Blackout, but then, some guy at the mall was bringing a cartload of boxes of Premium Blackouts! The guy who bought it all owns a shop at the lower level of the mall.
I tried to go to his shop and I asked bout Blackout’s price, he said it is at around Php 1500! But he bought it at the Toy retailer for 700 Php! per unit! I said, I’ll check out other shops before I commit.
Luckily, my retailer had a restock, and I got Blackout at 700 Php… Then I went back at that scalper’s store, now looking for a Gundam 00 Model kit and some Revoltech Frauleins(Female Revoltech figs), he noticed I have a Plastic bag with Transformer toy, and it was Blackout! He asked me how much I got it, I said, half your price.
Then he consulted the guy he sent to buy those Blackouts, and told him.. Wrong move man! Blackout ain’t rare!
Moral here is to avoid buying from scalpers as much as possible, and be patient for restocks!

I’ve learnt to live with scalpers. I think they also grabbed all the local Marvel Universe (MU) Red Hulks in the stores here. I cannot find a single one for the past weeks. I’ve seen hoards of all other MU characters in the same wave except that RULK! I’m giving up collecting MU toys already
Yeah, nearly bought Fallen from a scalper, charging it for two times the price. There was a whole bunch of Fallen at OG when the toys first launched and I skipped him and now regret it. Lucky I didn’t buy it from the scalper. The way I see it now, if there’s a restock I’ll really regret it! But really, Scalpers are a pain.

ROTF The Fallen is being re-stocked in very limited numbers in the dept stores here this week. 2 were spotted on Wed but they are gone today. Another 1 each at 2 other places were seen today but I believe they should be snapped up by now..

Do you want ROTF Legends class The Fallen too? He’s also very hard to find in the stores now. He’s very cute & his color is closer to the movie version. If yes, I might as well pick him up for you if I see him again
It would be nice if you could spot out the voyager version. Where are they usually seen? Not really interested in the legends version, but your right, he is closer to the movie version. Anyway thanks!

The other 2 Fallens spotted yesterday are gone now. Things are like that - when you don’t need them they’re there. Then when you want them, they’re not there anymore
I’m sure The Fallens are returning to the stores gradually and eventually. Perhaps one day we might see a mountain of him on sale!
