My Fastest Expanding Toy Line Collection Of The Year Award

My Fastest Expanding Toy Line Collection Of The Year Award goes to:

Bburago Lamborghini Murcierlago, grey and yellow 1:24 scale.

My 1:24 scale die-cast Lamborghini model cars collection!

Bburago Lamborghini Gallardo, yellow and black 1:24 scale.

Comments: I had only 2 cars last year and by now I have 9 of them, including 1 yellow Murcielago Roadster (below) that I got for myself this Christmas.  I even had the Roadster gift wrapped by the store that I bought from, for the Christmas feeling and I’m going to open it on Christmas Day!

MotorMax Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster, yellow 1:24 scale.

Maisto Audi R8, white 1:24 scale.

I also have 2 non-Lamborghinis: an Audi R8 (above) and an Aston Martin DB9 (below), all in 1:24 scale.  The latter has also been gift wrapped and is sitting under my Christmas tree.  It’s another gift to myself this Christmas!

MotorMax Aston Martin DB9 1:24 scale.

Maisto Lamborghini Murcielago LP 640, white & Bburago Lamborghini Reventon, iron grey 1:24 scale.

To think that I managed to clear off prime drawer space when I sold off a large portion of my baby My Little Pony collection during the year, only to have it quickly filled up by just a few cars.

Bburago Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggeras, bronze & yellow 1:24 scale.

I can’t explain why I love the Lamborghini car so much.  This supercar just appeals to me since I first took close notice of it last year and I now can’t stop collecting the 1:24 scale models.

Read my past Lamborghini blog posts here.

Bburago Lamborghini Gallardo Polizia 1:24 scale

My next acquistion target is the1:24 scale Lamborghini Gallardo Polizia model (above) by Bburago, that is scheduled for release this year.  Gosh, it’s a never ending vicious toy collecting cycle!

The cars look cool…I always wanted to collect die cast cars but decided not to due to lack of space and $$

  2. Juliana Heng on December 24th, 2008

Thanks! I want the real ones too, but also lack of space and $$ :P

  3. LEon on December 24th, 2008

I hardly come around female collector for cars esp die cast ones. The Audi look the best.

Thanks LEon, I’m considered quite an exceptional female toy collector. I started off with collecting X-Men Animated action figures about 10 years ago, and that surprised many toy sellers at the Clarke Quay flea market back then :P

    Julianna,
is the white lambo (beside reventon) shown above the old gallardo or the new LP-640 just officially launch a few months ago?

    thanks

    Hi howe,

It’s a 1:24 scale Murcielago LP-640 by Maisto. I don’t know when it was officially released. I bought mine in Aug 2008 from a departmental store here in Singapore.

    Hi howe,

I bought the 1:24 scale LP-640 because it came in white color, a color that I didn’t have in my Lamborghini model car collection then. :P

I like the Gallardo LP-560-4 too. I believe the model car should be out sometime this year. The Reventon model car came out in the stores around half a year after the real car was officially revealed to the public, if I recall correctly.

I’m also waiting for the 1:24 scale Gallardo Spyder to be made and released. :)

I have the reventon as well but in 1:18 scale.
I was thinking of repainting it to a metallic army color (just like the original car color).

The original color that Bburago painted, doesn’t seems too convincing to me.

You can have a look of the original one and compare here:

    Hi howe,

    Cool! Have fun customizing! :D

  11. [...] Finally, I got a piece from OG Orchard using their latest Bburago catalog.  The OG staff were very helpful in helping me secure this Lambo Polizia, which I had waited very long for.  The kind lady OG staff offered to order the model car for me when I spotted its picture in the catalog.  To my delight, the Lambo Polizia “drove” into the store within 2 weeks!  I collected it over the weekend and here are its photos.  It is the 10th Lamborghini to join my 1:24 scale model car collection! Hi Lee,

Thank you for your offer. I only collect Lambos in 1:24 scale and I have all the models I want. You can consider selling your collection on ebay or rent a locker space at Toy Outpost to sell them, good luck! :)

    Hi Juliana

I’ve just looked at your car toy collection. It’s so amazing and awesome. I really love it especially Lamborghini cars. They’re beautiful and look like the real ones.
Could you please let me know where can I buy these car toys ?
I’m currently living in Vietnam. Not sure if the shop can ship to my country…

    Thank you

    Hi Juliana!

I love your car collection very much! I was wondering if you could tell me where you bought your Scale 1:24 Aston Martin DB9 model shown on the picture above. I’ve been looking for it for almost 2 years already and havnt found any shop that sells one.

    Thanks

  18. Juliana Heng on October 23rd, 2011

    Hi Kyle,

Thank you for reading my blog. I bought mine from TRU Forum nearly 3 years ago. The dark blue box packaging says “Cars” while the brand name under the car itself says “Motor Max”. I think this item can be found at TRU Vivo City too. It comes in silver and dark grey. :)
