The seemingly neverending ‘toy drought’

I just had a teleconversation with a fellow My Little Pony collector pal here today. Both if us were moaning over the lack of new My Little Pony stocks in our local stores since this year. The current ‘toy drought’ is boring us so much that we are starting to experience ‘withdrawal symtoms’ from being deprived of new toys to add to our collections.

Even though I have slowed down in my toy collecting, I still look forward to seeing new stocks of the toys that I collect in the retail stores. It is a habit that I developed over many years of toy collecting and it is not like I can break it so easily, even though I know how to do it.

Sometimes I avoid going out to the shopping places to reduce the chances of impulse toy buying. There are other distractions on display in the shopping malls too; like nice bags, clothes, shoes, cosmetics, books etc. Well, as long as I remain focused only on my target items to purchase on each shopping trip, I will be able to spend within my means.
