The ultimate movie Bumblebee fans
Today is a memorable day for Transformers movie fans around the world. It is the date when the movie sequel - Revenge of the Fallen (ROTF) begins screening in cinemas worldwide, including here in Singapore! The movie actually started screening slightly earlier in Japan and the UK. The past weeks leading to the movie had been greatly hyped up by trailers, official interviews, spoiler news and toy releases to build up more interest in the movie.
I’m very fond of the Bumblebee character from both these Transformers movies. I thought that I was quite crazy about him by collecting his toys. Well, it appears that there are more passionate Bumblebee fans out here. Here’s one of them who posted this fascinating stop motion video on YouTube. The Bumblebee toy looks so alive in there. Take a look for yourself!
Bumblebee looks like he’s really enjoying himself while dancing to the music! If only our toys can come to life like that without using video filming techniques! That would have been so cool!
But when it comes to being the ultimate movie Bumblebee fans, no one probably comes close to his fans in China. Just this month, a convoy of 42 movie ‘Bumblebee’ cars paraded down the streets of Beijing and Shanghai to commemorate the screening of the ROTF movie!
The ‘Bumblebee’ convoy consisting of mostly Chevrolet cars (in various Chevy models), plus a mix of other car brands, was led by a Camaro 2010! Look at the last page of that blog post and see what else the Chinese Bumblebee fans did with their cars! I think they win hands down in being obsessed with movie Bumblebee. I’m still considered a small case!
Anyway, the ROTF movie is said to be packed with lots more action than the first Transformers movie. I believe that most fans who who enjoyed the first movie will like ROTF too. Haha, I can’t wait to be bombarded by fictional and CGI robot action. I’ll definitely go catch this movie in its first week!

yo! You better start booking the ticket. All show time were 95~99% seated. I never seen this “crazy” phenomena in cinema before…It’s like if you wanna better seat, you have to buy 2 days earlier in Penang. for KL side, it’s have to be done before 1 week time. The good seats already booked till next week d… I wonder how’s it gonna be in Singapore?
Wow that is really cool, didn’t see any BB cars at the theatre last night. Only saw a kid with the BB helmet and cannon walking around hahaha
I was so closed to watch the movie yesterday…nvm will try during the weekend. Actually I am not that excited after hearing some reviews of the movie.
Leon, I think when we watch movie, it’s better don’t hear any reviews from others as different people have different view and opinion. So, why border about people review?? Just spend a $10 to entertain yourself in a 150 mins show. ROTF is a MUST watch movie
desmond’s right Leon, you should give the show a watch.
not something you’d wanna miss. still is one of the better films of the year as yet.
@Juliana - i’ve got the popcorn meal from Cathay Cineleisure!! not quite sure if its available through all cathay cinemas though….
Hi Reagan,
The ROTF movie’s very hot in Singapore too! It’s the hype and marketing campaign that works on our emotions. Our feelings are being ‘manipulated’ by the ones who stand to benefit from all this ROTF craze. That’s how the experts do it. We are just the masses for them to ‘milk’ our hard earned cash. That’s life
Hi Jcee,
I think most people do not want to risk damaging their precious TF and ROTF collectibles by bringing them out to the cinemas
Hi LEon,
You can always watch it during its second week when the ROTF hype mellows down a lttle. But don’t watch it in a near empty cinema that might ‘kill’ the mood even more
Hi deSMOnd,
Agreed, I only use movie reviews as a guide. My own opinions matter most. Btw, I think GV movie tickets are at SGD 7.50 on certain weekdays. We can watch ROTF the 1st, 2nd and xth times on such days to stretch our dollars
Hi Joshua,
Thanks for the Popcorn ROTF toy update!
My scouts tell me that Cathay Cineleisure still has Optimus Prime. Woodlands Cathay has Starscream, AMK Hub Cathay has both Megatron and Starsceam. Cathay House has none left!
No Bumblebee sighted. May re-stock next week. I only want him on my TF ROTF plastic cup!
Yes, I will watch ROTF again in the Grand Cathay as I believe it’s the best cinema to me so far besides GV Vivo..
Hi deSMOnd,
