Toy glossary
Here are some of the more frequently used ‘technical terms’ in toy collecting that I also often use in my blog posts. Thought that I gather some of them here for easier understanding by newbies and non-toy collectors.
MOC - Mint-on-Card.
MIB - Mint-in-Box.
MIP - Mint-in-Package.
NBRFP - Never-been-removed-from-package.
NBRFB - Never-been-removed-from-box, a variant term of NBRFP.
Loose - refers to a toy that is none of the above, that is, it has been taken out of its original packaging.
Action Figure - refers to a human or animal toy figure with movable parts, usually the limbs, head and torso. Some of these toy figures come with toy weapons that shoot out projectiles, hence another meaning for the term “action”.
I’ll share more of such toy collecting terms next time!
