Transformers Animated Deluxe action figures - wave 7

Top row (from left): Bumblebee, Optimus Prime & Blurr (what kind of name is that!?).
Bottom row (from left): Samurai Prowl, Electrostatic Soundwave & Freeway Jazz.
During the few months before the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen (ROTF) movie craze, many departmental stores were having a clearance sale on their stocks of Transformers Animated (TFA) toys. Among them were the Deluxe class figures which were going for 3 for SGD 50.00 then. Needless to say, the main and most popular characters went fast. Since the ROTF movie craze started in June 2009, the TFA toys sort of faded from notice and didn’t get restocked often.
Here’s wave 7of TFA Deluxe toys scheduled for year end release. There are 2 repaints - Electrostatic Soundwave & Freeway Jazz. I think the repaints look better than their original colors of dark blue and white respectively. The other 4 characrers are also very popular with the kids, fans and collectors here. If this wave is released at our local retail at the previous clearance prices or less, then I’m sure they’ll sell out fast as well. For me, I’m not too fond of the TFA toyline, except for TFA Deluxe Swindle (he’s cute, and shrewd!).

Blurr is a homage to the G1 (Season 3) Blurr, which spoke and moved very fast, so the name Blurr.
Funny how they keep on issuing Bumblebee and Optimus Prime, even till the 7th wave. I guess marketing strategies.
Samurai Prowl is the one to get, as it was the last new figure from the last TFA wave before the ROTF craze, and everyone snapped every piece put out.
Electrostatic SW comes with a newly scuplted Ratbat.
Hi Juliana!
I am aiming for that Jazz and Soundwave looks real good!
I am not really fond with the animated line, My only figs are TFA Swindle(Coz he is really cute and shrewd and that infomercial-esque voice) and TFA Megatron, both the Leader Class and Voyager, Leader Megs is actually the best of the line.
Hi neoconvoy,
Welcome back! When you will resume your blogging? I missed reading your “hauls of the day”
Oh I see “Blurr” refers to “motion blur”. I thought it was the local meaning of “blur like a squid”
BB and OP are all times favourites, no matter which TF line it seems.
Hi Nicolai,
I think all of these characters in this wave will be popular when they are released, including the repaints.
Swindle is so opportunistic. Take a look at LEon’s Swindle figure at his blog:

I think I might also get Optimus Prime, coz I also like his characterization in the show, reminds me of myself! Bumblebee can be a cute gift for a girl(Cutest TF in my opinion!)!
I read the skit! Swindle is like a toy scalper ahahaha!!
nice, but i hope they come up with new TFA Legends soon, so far they have only released four, op, bb, starscream and prowl…

Hi Nicolai,
The TFA toyline is not for me, there are just too many figures to collect in the TF movie toyline alone already
Hi Bany,
I’m surprised that Hasbro only made 4 TFA Legends figures. Yet they made countless numbers of them, plus repaints for the TF movie toyline…
