Weekend toy storage re-organizing

I finally did some re-organizing of my toys storage areas today.  Sad to say, despite the re-stacking all my other stuff neatly, there are still excess items that have to remain on the floor for the time being.  I have run out of non-floor surfaces in my room to keep my study materials, books plus the free magazines and brochures collected from the trade fairs I had attended for the past year.

It looks like this re-organizing will take longer than I expected.  Some of my other things will need to be permanently removed from my room.  It is always a big headache to do ‘clutter clearing’ as the it is difficult to decide which things are ‘clutter’ to be discarded.  It looks I will have more paper materials for the recycling bin over the next few days.

    Hi there,

My kids have contructed lots of lego, but i do not know how to store them without them falling apart as they try to move them.
any ideas on what to do?

    Hi suzelle,

Thank you for visiting my blog. I have stored many assembled LEGO sets in boxes and they can be moved without breaking apart.

However, I do notice that LEGO bricks made in the last 5 years detach more easily than the ones made before. Perhaps customers in the past had given feedback to the LEGO co. that it was too difficult for kids to detach the bricks.

Now I can only say is to break the assembled sets into large sections and then store them in sections. It will be easy to take them out again and just assemble the sections together. Hope this helps! :)
