“Wolverine and the X-Men” action figures - wave 2

Oh my, these are characters for wave 2 of the 3.75-inch tall X-Men action figures that are based on the upcoming “Wolverine And The X-Men” Animated series (starting on Okto Channel on 1 May 2009, 7.30pm on every weekday).  I like Black Wolverine and of course Night Crawler in this wave 2!

Wolverine and the X-Men Animated series - 3.75-inch action figures - wave 2.

However, I wonder what’s with the re-releasing of repeat characters all over again?  Already I see and an overstock of these X-Men toys in the departmental stores, and you can even find lots of loose ones (of every character from wave 1) at China Square Central flea market.  Forge and Toad are the only new characters in the upcoming wave 3.  I hope they will they make the female characters like Storm, Emma Frost, Mystique, Jean Grey, Rogue etc.

I know this series of X-Men toys are more targeted at kids but like all Marvel Comics-based toys, it’s ultimately the toy collectors who buy them.  I’m actually surprised that they made a lesser known character like Avalanche in wave 1.  Then they most probably will make Mystique, Pyro and The Blob too to complete the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, I hope…

    Hi Jeremy,

If you plan to collect the wolverine cartoon toys loose, then you can find loose ones for sale at the Sunday toy market at China Square Central:

    http://www.chinasquarecentral.com/happenings.php

But some of the loose figures don’t have all their accessories. There’s a shop there selling loose Nightcrawler (comes with his sword) and black costume Wolverine (no claws included) in 2-packs.

But if you must have the backcard, then you’ve got to wait for it in the stores. There are many people eyeing MOC Nightcrawler already, so you’ve got lots of competitors :P

So you collect X-Men toys too? Which ones have you bought so far? :)

    HEY HEY!

    Thanks for the reply:)

I’ve only got Gambit and Woverine. & Cyclops from the Wolverine and the X-Men. ToysRus has really few figures from the cartoon and to be honest, i only saw 4 of the 3.75 inches Wolverine and the X-Men figures! I’m actually lookin’ for:
    FROM X-MEN ORIGINS:
    - Cyclops
    - Ice-Man
    FROM WOLVERINE AND THE X-MEN:
    - Beasts
    - Nightcrawler
    - Toad
    - Forge

Yeah. And how much are the second-hand figures at the Flea Market, and which stall is it? :)

    Hi Jeremy,

Cartoon version Beast can be found at TRU. I still saw him there this week. Movie toyline Cyclops and Iceman, cartoon Nightcrawler, Forge and Toad are not here yet. Be patient, the toys will appear.. Gotta wait…:)

The loose Nightcrawler figure is at a shop. I can’t recall the unit number or shop name. There is an escalator at the main atrium and smaller atrium. Take the one at the smaller atrium to the 2nd floor. You’ll see a wall, then turn right. It’s the first shop next to the wall. They’ve got lots of loose Star Wars Troopers on display at the shop window.

You can read more tips about collecting this toyline at my blog post today:

    Alright!

Hmmmm… aren’t there cons when you buy loose ones too?:/ And TRU has ran out of Wolverine and the X-Men figures…. sighs.
Also, when you mentioned 2-pack, what do you mean exactly?:)

    Hi Jeremy,

Both figures are packaged together in the same pack.

They will restock the toys eventually. Like I blogged previously, the same figures in the same poses will be re-released in future waves. You’ll have your chance to get what you want..

Just curious, which stage of toy collecting at you at now? :)
